About Me
Hi there,
My name is Jessie Leigh.
I am a 3rd
year BA student at Stellenbosch University and I was born and raised in the
beautiful country of South Africa. The most important thing you need to know
about me is that I love Jesus and want to live to glorify Him. As you journey
with me through this blog, you may or may not notice that I am a girl with many
dreams and many peculiarities but also that I have a heart for helping people
and spreading hope wherever I go.
About the Blog
I was reflecting on the lies that we as young women are fed
from a young age and how the enemy loves
to strip us of our worth and identity. I have also seen so many who are broken
and facing seemingly hopeless situations, and I have been there myself. Most of
us know what it is like to feel lost, inadequate or in deep pain. I felt God
put this idea on my heart of starting a blog to encourage others to Take Heart,
to be strong and courageous no matter what comes and to replace Satan’s lies
with God’s Truth. That is what this blog, entitled “Take Heart”, is about:
reminding people that God is with them and that He is always in control; to
remind others of the hope and truth that is found in our Creator. This blog is
primarily aimed at young women and the struggles we constantly face, though
anyone is welcome to read it. Through this blog, I hope to be able to share
what God has put on my heart for you; words that will encourage and build you
up. I hope that you will join the journey and remember to take heart, for He has overcome the world.
I can't wait to follow your blog in this journey! I appreciate those who are also following Jesus in a world that is so darkened by sin.
ReplyDeleteI really love that you are starting this blog to remind people of the hope that can be found in Jesus Christ if they put their trust in Him. There is hope for life that is not found anywhere else, and it makes me so sad that so many people are at a loss of hope and don't want to live any longer because they don't know why they need to continue through the hard times.
